Today is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Tippecanoe which is considered the first battle of the War of 1812.  I went to the memorial ceremony over the weekend to honor those who gave their lives for America.  It was an outstanding commemeration with re-enacters dressed in the outfits of the various companies.  I had an ancestor there 200 years ago and I met the great-great-great grandson of his commanding officer.  The ceremony honoring the American patriots was outstanding.
