Hi. I used Mozilla Firefox. For some reason, I am getting pop up ads which say "Internet Explorer" a program I don't use. ( a computer guy told me it probably wasn't IE). I am also getting audio ads randomly interrupting my online sessions. Ads for Beef, Wheat Thins, Choice Hotels, etc.. Worse, I am getting "Secret Crush" ads. I've run McAfee, Norton, Malaware and Trend-Micro. Even in safe mode they find no problems. Even now I am being interrupted from posting this message because my cursor keeps skipping away from the board. I can't find anyone who has had this problem. Any help?

Google AVG Free and download it. It's a lot better than McAfee and, Norton. Let it do a scan and see what it finds. Also, go check out cnet and get IObit Security 360 and/or Advanced SystemCare. I use Mozilla Firefox on my 8 year old gateway laptop, with these three that I have listed, and have no problems at all. I hope this helps you out.

I downloaded PC Tools, ran a full scan, no threats detected. And then I got another pop up ad.

I have the version of AVG on my laptop that you pay for. So far, so good. You need a guru.

I also use firefox go to your menu bar and click on tools then turn on you pop up blocker it comes with firefox you can also down load and run spybot search and destroy its free it will tell you if you have any malware on your computer it will also clean it for you.
